Snowmobile Adventure
Tour Overview
You follow the old postal road across Finnmarksvidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau. For generations it was the lifeline between Alta and Karasjok. The tour starts at the 150-year-old Gargia Lodge and climbs through snow-covered forest towards the Beskades mountains. There the landscape opens up and you ride out onto the plateau.
Along the way we stop, and your guide tells the story of the postmen who skied between the settlements in all weathers. We ride two to a snowmobile and take turns driving, unless otherwise agreed. The tour ends back at Gargia Lodge.
