Snowmobile & Icefishing Adventure
Enjoy the silent arctic nature while you wait for the fish to bite.
Through snow covered forests we make our way up to the expansive mountain plains. Here you can embrace the true arctic wilderness, surrounded by only snow and the sky in all directions. When reaching what feels like the top of the world we will drive towards the fishing spot, here you can listen to the arctic nature and experience silence like you only will in the wild. All while you test your patience waiting for the fish to bite.
This trip gives you an exhilarating way of exploring the arctic scenery just right outside our doorstep. While driving through the magical winter landscape, there is a possibility to see wildlife as well. Once we reach the highest point of the plains you will be impressed by the vast views that Europe’s largest mountain plateau has to offer and if we are lucky we might get a taste of a arctic delicacy, a trout or char.
You will share a snowmobile with another passenger, so each of you will get to drive half of the trip. If you want to drive all by yourself, simply add the Single Driver Add-On when booking.

What you need to bring:
- Woolen underlayer
- Woolen socks (can be borrowed if needed)
- Warm clothes
- Warm shoes
- Sunglasses
- Driving license
Please inform us about allergies at least 24 hours before your departure. We can accommodate a wide range of allergies.
This trip is not recommended for those who have back problems or for those who are pregnant.

- For all activity products, the following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 7 days to departure: Free cancellation
- 7 days or less to departure/no show: No refund
- Different policies apply for group bookings

- We recommend all our guests to have their own travel and health insurance to cover unforeseen events outside the travel operator’s control and injuries.
- This trip is not recommended for those who have back problems or for those who are pregnant.
- Only the holders of a valid B class driver’s license are allowed to drive a snowmobile on this trip. You are required to present your license for verification before taking part on the ride. Guests without a valid driving license are only allowed to be passengers (min. age is 12)
- Minimum age to ride alone is 18. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Minimum age to participate is 12.
- The transport time from Alta city center to Gargia is 30–45 minutes, depending on stops and guest pickups along the way
- You will share a snowmobile with another passenger, so each of you will get to drive half of the trip. If you want to drive all by yourself, simply add the Single Driver Add-On when booking.
- Wear warm clothes and shoes in accordance with the weather forecast and season.
- Changes may occur due to weather. Æventyr reserves the right to change the itinerary or cancel the trip if the weather conditions appear unsafe or if the minimum number of participants is not met.
